Homes in the City of Dawsonville: inside the city limits

The short answer

The City of Dawsonville is about 9.6 square miles with roughly 4,900 residents, out of 35,365 in the county. Inside the limits, homes get city water, sewer and garbage service and pay no city property tax. Most homes with a Dawsonville address are outside the city, so check the parcel, not the ZIP code.

How to tell whether an address is in the city

Do not go by the mailing address: the 30534 ZIP area covers about 86 percent of the county and reaches into four neighbouring counties. Look the parcel up on the county’s online zoning map or in its qPublic property record, or call City Hall at (706) 265-3256.
