Who publishes this guide
Dawsonville Homes is published by Gold Peach Realty, a licensed real estate brokerage in North Georgia. We earn our living helping people buy and sell homes, and we say so on every page. The featured listings on this site are Gold Peach Realty’s own, labelled as such.
How we check facts
- Every tax rate, rule, fee, date and number comes from the body that sets it: Dawson County, the City of Dawsonville, the Dawson County school district, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Georgia Department of Revenue, the Georgia Department of Public Health and the U.S. Census Bureau among them. Each is linked where it appears, with the date we checked it.
- Where we could not confirm something from a primary source, we leave it out or label it. Road distances and drive times are map-measured estimates on OpenStreetMap data, not traffic times, and say so.
- We do not publish our own price forecasts, rental-income estimates or market predictions. Listings show the MLS’s own data on goldpeachrealty.com.
Which Dawson
This guide covers Dawsonville and Dawson County in North Georgia, on GA 400 north of Atlanta. It is not about the city of Dawson in Terrell County, in southwest Georgia.
Writing and AI
Pages and journal posts are written by the Dawsonville Homes Editorial Team. AI tools help us draft; people check every fact before it publishes.
Photos
Every photograph is a real, credited image of the place it shows, under a Creative Commons licence or in the public domain. The film on the home page is cut from seven of them. Lake Lanier and Big Canoe photos are captioned only as precisely as their records allow. See photo credits.
Corrections and sponsors
If a rate or rule changed or we got something wrong, tell us through the contact page with a link to the source and we will fix it. We may later offer clearly labelled local sponsor spots; none are sold today, and nothing on this site is paid placement.
